## Summary For Families

The project aims to map familial and early-onset Parkinson's to spot patterns and risk factors that could point to genetic causes or guide future treatments. It is an observational program that collects clinical information and detailed family history from people with Parkinson's or parkinsonism and from their first and second degree relatives, both affected and unaffected, to look for those patterns. They are enrolling people aged 16 and older who have a clinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease or parkinsonism and either have a first or second degree family member with Parkinson's/parkinsonism or had symptom onset before age 45, as well as first and second degree relatives of an index case. People who cannot give informed consent are not eligible.

- **Minimum age:** 16 Years
- **Sex:** ALL

Inclusion Criteria:

Clinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease or parkinsonism, and either family history of Parkinson's/parkinsonism (first or second degree family member affected by Parkinson's or parkinsonism) AND/OR Early onset Parkinson's/parkinsonism (symptom onset before the age of 45 years) First or second degree family member of an Index Case, affected or unaffected by Parkinson's/parkinsonism.

Aged over 16 years

Exclusion Criteria:

Lack of capacity to consent to participate in the project.
