## Summary For Families

The goal is to use ultra-high-field 7 Tesla MRI to get much clearer pictures of Parkinson's-related brain changes, for example finer detail in the substantia nigra and patterns of iron buildup that lower-field scans may miss. Participants get a non-invasive 7T MRI scan that maps brain structure and tissue properties, there is no experimental drug or device involved, and the scan does not change your usual Parkinson's medications. Adults aged 18 to 80 who have been diagnosed with Parkinson's by a movement disorders neurologist can join. People with other brain disorders, significant psychiatric or cognitive problems, or any contraindication to MRI are not eligible.

- **Maximum age:** 80 Years
- **Sex:** ALL

### Full Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

* the patients with PD who was diagnosed by the experienced neurologist specializing in movement disorders

Exclusion Criteria:

* the patients with brain disorders such as cerebrovascular disease, brain tumors, epilepsy, other neurodegenerative disease;
* psychiatric disorders with impaired cognitive function;
* contraindications to MRI.
