Plain-Language Summary
CuePD is testing whether personalised auditory cueing can improve walking in Parkinson's by helping with timing, step length, stability, and possibly reducing freezing episodes. Participants will listen to rhythmic sounds adjusted to their natural walking pattern so the cues re-time steps and improve gait coordination; the approach is non-drug, noninvasive, and is used alongside usual medications without changing levodopa dosing. The trial is looking for people aged 50 to 85 with idiopathic Parkinson's who can walk unaided and score 21 or higher on the MoCA, excluding non-English speakers, those with other neurological or unstable medical conditions, or people in conflicting studies.
