# Clinical Trials for LRRK2 Parkinson's

LRRK2 is one of the most common genes linked to Parkinson's. People who carry certain LRRK2 changes have a higher chance of developing the disease, and a wave of research is now testing treatments aimed specifically at this genetic form.

Some of these trials enroll only people with a confirmed LRRK2 change, while others are studying drugs that block the overactive LRRK2 enzyme. A few also look at family members who carry the gene but do not yet have symptoms.

Below are the recruiting trials we track that involve LRRK2 Parkinson's. Sign up to be emailed when a new one opens.
