# Clinical Trials for Parkinson's Constipation and Digestive Symptoms

Constipation and other digestive problems are among the most common non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's, and they often begin years before movement symptoms appear. The gut and the brain are closely linked in Parkinson's, which is why this area draws growing research interest.

Trials here study treatments for constipation and slow digestion, the role of the gut microbiome, and whether targeting the gut might influence the course of the disease itself.
