# Clinical Trials for Parkinson's Depression and Anxiety

Depression and anxiety are among the most common non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's, and they are not just a reaction to the diagnosis. The same brain changes that affect movement also affect mood, which is why these symptoms are an active area of research.

Trials in this area test medications, talk therapy and behavioral programs, exercise, and brain-stimulation approaches aimed at improving mood, along with studies that track how depression and anxiety change over time.
