Summary For Families
The goal is to find blood-based signals that change with Parkinson's stage, so a simple serum test might someday help diagnose or track disease progression. Participants give one or more blood samples so researchers can measure proteins, inflammatory markers, and other molecules in the serum that may reflect brain changes, the testing does not alter your Parkinson's treatment. Adults 18 to 80 with idiopathic Parkinson's disease by MDS criteria can join if they can consent, while pregnant people and those with inflammatory or autoimmune diseases are excluded.

In the US, routine care you would receive anyway can still be billed to you or your insurance; coverage rules differ by country, and trials in the UK and Canada usually run through public health systems. - This trial is estimated to last approximately 1 year and 11 months.
- Can I leave the trial if I change my mind?

- Will I get a placebo in this trial?
- Everyone in this trial receives the experimental treatment. There is no placebo group.
- What procedures are involved in this trial?
- Based on the protocol, this trial involves: Blood draw (minimally invasive). Confirm the full schedule with the study coordinator.
